The price cards above come from Gitsu's Stripe catalog when this site is built, so they always show what a new subscriber pays today. The answers below explain what each option includes and how billing behaves, from Gitsu's own billing code. The legal wording lives in the Terms of Service.
What does the free Web App include?
The free tier is the full Gitsu Web App in the browser at dash.gitsu.app. Sign in with GitHub, import your GitHub Projects boards and work on them: boards and other views, filters, keyboard navigation and every edit you make going back to GitHub. The getting started guide walks through the first sign-in.
The free tier is not a trial. When a signed-in web account has no subscription, Gitsu opens the app anyway instead of asking it to pay. The pricing card lists what it leaves out: the desktop app and AI features.
What does a subscription add?
A subscription adds the desktop app for macOS, AI features and MCP access for your coding agents, on top of everything the Web App does. The desktop app checks for a subscription before it loads any project data, and the AI endpoints check it on the server, so neither works on the free tier.
The pricing card is also plain about what a subscription does not include yet: views that span several projects, and a mobile app.
Should I pay monthly or yearly?
Pay yearly if you expect to keep Gitsu for a year, since the yearly price costs less than twelve monthly payments. The annual card shows the saving as a percentage. Both Billing Intervals buy the same product with the same features; only the renewal cadence changes.
You can switch between monthly and yearly later in Stripe's billing portal. The switch moves you to the current price for the new interval.
Will my price change if Gitsu raises its prices?
No. Your subscription keeps the price you signed up at. When the listed price changes, Gitsu creates a new price for new subscribers and leaves existing subscriptions on theirs. Switching Billing Interval is the one thing that moves you to the current price.
How do I cancel?
Open Billing in Gitsu's settings and choose Manage billing, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling there takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, so you keep full access until that date, and you can resume before it arrives.
If a renewal payment fails, you keep access for seven days while you update your payment method. After that, the desktop app and paid features stop until you pay or subscribe again.
What happens to my issues if I stop paying?
Nothing happens to them. Gitsu reads and writes your issues and boards through the GitHub API, so they live in GitHub and never in a Gitsu database. When a subscription ends you lose the desktop app and paid features, but every issue, comment and field value is still on github.com, and the free Web App still opens them.
Is billing per person or per team?
Billing is per person. Each subscription belongs to one Gitsu Account, which is linked to one GitHub user. Gitsu does not sell organization or team billing or seats yet, so each person who wants the desktop app subscribes on their own account.
How do refunds and taxes work?
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a purchase by writing to support@gitsu.app, as the Terms of Service say. A refund on its own does not cancel your subscription; cancel in the billing portal as well if you want it to stop renewing.
Prices are in US dollars. Checkout accepts promotion codes and the payment methods Stripe offers in your region. Gitsu's checkout does not calculate sales tax at the moment.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Gitsu Web App really free?
Yes. When a signed-in account has no subscription, the Web App lets it in to the free app instead of asking it to pay. Only the desktop app and the paid features check for a subscription.
Is there a team or organization plan?
No. A subscription belongs to one Gitsu Account, linked to one GitHub user. Organization billing, shared billing and seats are not offered yet.
What happens to my issues if I stop paying?
Nothing. Your issues and boards live in GitHub, and Gitsu never keeps its own copy of them. You can keep using them on github.com or in the free Web App.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. The Terms of Service let you ask for a full refund within 14 days of a purchase by writing to support@gitsu.app.
